Yeah, so I've been slacking in the blog department so here's a short synopsis and some pictures from the past couple of weeks.
- Callie is as adorable as ever. She gives wonderful smiles and will share the best conversation with you. We spend time with her on her tummy but she still is being stubborn about rolling over. She's starting to get lazy - when we put her down on her belly she'll just lay there a lot of times. Now, when she's on her back she likes to kick a lot. She's loved sleeping on her side since she was born but recently she'll throw herself to the side and almost make it all the way over to her belly but she lacks just a little umph.
- We spent Thanksgiving in Texas. We met my parents at a family reunion then went to Jason's sister and brother-in-law's house to be with his family. We had a good time with everyone but it was over much to quick. Good thing we'll all be together again in a couple weeks for Christmas!
- I grudingly made my return to work. Ok, so it's not too terrible. Callie stays with a lady we know through church who had a baby girl a week before we did. So, she'll have a buddy to grow up with which is nice. Work's been good but it's amazing how much more I look forward to getting home each day.
And now pictures!

Cousin Connor loves Callie!
Playing around on Saturday afternoon
The whole gang before watching the Bedlam game
Back home again...this is how Callie sleeps 99.9% of the time in her crib. Always on her side in the same spot. Once in a great while she'll be in a random position but this is her norm.
Hanging out with Papaw
Callie loves to spend time with her Daddy
Big girl holding her head up so well!
Nap time with Daddy in the evening
Being goofy laying upside down - she was quite content for a long time in this position. I guess it was a different perspective on things.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Just a quick update before we take off for the Thanksgiving holiday.
This weekend we stayed at home - Jason worked on his shed with his dad and his mom came up to play with Callie. That night she watched the football game with mom and dad
Sunday we went to Chickasha where Callie met her great, great Aunt Cleta.
Then on Monday, Callie had a play date with her good friend Paisley so that mom and dad could go see Harry Potter. She had a lot of fun and they got along great even though they look like they want to fight in the picture. :)
Then Tuesday was the dreaded 2 month check up and shots. Callie didn't care too much for the shots but she calmed down pretty easily and just seemed sleepy for the rest of the day. Today she seems fine so far. Her stats from the visit are: weight 9lbs, 12oz (15th percentile - up from 4th), length 22.5 inches (47th percentile), head circumfrence I think was 39cm but whatever the measurement was, it was also around the 47th percentile. Here's a picture of Callie's boo boos.
Today we're heading south to Texas where we'll meet Pops and Nana for a family reunion then go to Dallas for the rest of the weekend to be with Jason's family. Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!

2 Months
Callie turned 2 months old this past Sunday. We don't go to see the doctor until next week so I'll update again then with all of her stats. She continues to be a wonderful, happy baby and a joy to be with. I'm sad because I'll be going back to work on December 1st and feel this time we've had together has gone by way too fast!
- Callie has established a great routine of getting up at 6 am, eating every 3 hours, and going to bed between 9 - 9:30pm.
- She continues to have a eat-wake-sleep routine and will stay awake for over an hour after she eats during the day. At night, she'll go down in her crib and either fall asleep or just look around until she falls asleep. She spoils me so much with her routine.
- She now wears 0-3 month or some 3 month clothes. She can still get into her newborn clothes but they are all short sleeved so, with the colder weather, we haven't worn them lately. The bigger shirts fit ok but a lot of the pants are still huge on her and ride up to where the waist band ends up at her chest. Callie rocks the grandpa pants look.
- Just today I put on Callie a size 1 diaper. We just ran out of our Newborn diapers and figured it was time to move up because we've had a few leak incidents lately. They all look big still but the Huggies seem slightly smaller than the Pampers so we'll go with those for a while.
- We do a bit of tummy time most days...I'm sure I've missed a day or two. Callie seems to enjoy it a bit more than she use to and does well holding her head up. Still hasn't rolled over again but gets so close.
- She has discovered her hands and likes to chew on them and stare at them and chew on them some more. It's comical to watch her look at them because she often goes cross-eyed when she's staring.
- She also plays with a couple of toys, batting at them and occasionally grabbing hold of them. She talks and coos more which is so much fun!
- She seems to slightly enjoy her bath. She never really cried through it but would get fussy towards the end but now she kicks around some and looks around while I scrub her down and won't cry even after I take her out. I look forward to when she really splashes around.
Here's a few pictures from the last week. I'll update again once we go to the doctor and let you know how the shots go.
Game Day!
The only picture I have of Callie on her 2 month birthday - here she's hanging out with Amanda.
All dolled up to go eat lunch with Amber, Paisley, Rachel, and Jacob - we had a great time!
Hanging out with daddy - so much fun!
Smiley, Happy Baby!

Out and About
It seems like all we do is go, go, GO! Which I'm not complaining about because it keeps us busy and Callie seems to go along with it just fine. Here's a few highlights from the last week:
We went to visit a sweet lady, Virginia who Jason has known his whole life and would visit her when he was little. She had chickens so he has lovingly referred to her as "the Chicken Lady" since he was a kid and she just loves it. It was her first time to meet Callie.
Her son David and his daughter Ellen and her daughter Tori were visiting too so the guys had to take a picture together with the little ones and then it was the girls turn. Callie is just one week younger than Tori.
This is a picture of Callie all ready to go to lunch with Alisa. We met her for lunch but I forgot to get a picture with them together.
Then on Friday, Callie with with dad to his network meeting so he could show her off. She had fun visiting then it was off to western Oklahoma where we spent the weekend with Jason's family. (for some reason, Blogger turn the picture upside down)
Saturday morning ready for the OSU game!
Hanging out with my Aunt Andrea and Cousin Connor
The boys were shooting pigeons out from under the barn.
Four Generations
Wagon ride with Connor
Playing with Connor in the evening - this is him giving Callie knuckles
Ready for church with Papaw, Nonie, and Connor
With Aunt Vena and Uncle Travis - I share my birthday with Aunt Vena!
The blanket Granny made for Callie - she loves it! Thanks Granny!

NM Trip part 2 and Halloween
This will be mainly pictures from the end of our trip, Halloween, and the last couple days. We had a good trip visiting Pops and Nana and they really enjoyed the time with Callie.
Friday at my mom and dad's. Callie in her "1st Halloween" outfit.
With mom
We ate dinner at Nienhueser's house on Friday where Callie spent time with Garland, Pam and Nienhueser. We had an excellent dinner and good time visiting!
With Garland
now Pam
and Nienhueser!
Then we had to go back home. :( This is in Albuquerque at lunch before going to the airport. With Nana...
Pops getting a new picture for his phone
Saying "See you later" to Pops and Nana at the airport.
When we got home we put Callie in her costume to go see our neighbor before she went to bed.
Here's a shot from the next day in her costume - a chili pepper.
Then on Tuesday, Callie fulfilled her patriotic duty of being cute while mom and dad voted.
And finally, a shot from this morning. She gives mom some really good smiles in the morning!

Trip to New Mexico, Part 1
First off let's start with last week. I had to go to work on Tuesday so that I could get my conference paid for so Jason got to spend the day with Callie. They had a lot of fun hanging out and going to see people. They even came and took me to lunch which was fun. Then, I took Callie to my PA Conference Wednesday through Friday and she did very well. She had fun meeting all of my friends and classmates from PA school and did well just hanging out or sleeping during the lectures.
We found out that there's about 10 babies that had been born within the last 3 months from people in our class or expecting. It was a lot of fun sharing pictures and baby stories. Here's the best group shot we could get of the girls. Amber was in and out during the conference so I didn't catch her and Rachel S. didn't come so that's why she's missing.
Then, it was off to New Mexico to visit Pops and Nana. We flew out of Oklahoma City on Saturday and arrived in Albuquerque a little after lunch time. We grabbed a bite to eat and headed to Aztec. Callie did very well on the flight, sleeping the whole time and also did well in the car during the 3 hour drive to Aztec. She talked with Nana a lot and only got fussy when she was hungry but took the bottle in the car with barely warm milk that I had packed.

Driving to Aztec
When we got to my parent's, we met the Prater's, Smith's, and Nienhueser at Dad's Diner to partake in yummy green chili cheese fries and their famous chocolate cake. Here's dad with the cake - yum!
Sunday we went to church. It was fun being back at home with Carissa because we grew up together at that church. It was the first time we'd been back in Farmington together since we've both moved to Oklahoma - almost 10 years!
That afternoon, Pops and Nana had an open house for people to come meet Callie. We had a few visitors and I got to see my high school coach again. I didn't get any pictures with people, just of Callie all dolled up.
Monday we ran around with Pops and he went to show Callie off to some of his customers. Tuesday, Nana took half the day off and ran around with us - again to visit some of Pops' clients. That evening we went to watch Nienhueser coach basketball and it was Callie's first game. She had lots of things to look at and new sounds to hear!
As a side note - Callie's really been smiling at us a lot more the last week or so and starting to even giggle some so here's a picture of a smile I caught on Tuesday.
Then, Wednesday, we visited Nana's school so that she could show Callie off to some of her co-workers. I also got to see some of my teachers I had which was fun. Here's Callie in Nana's classroom
Tonight we will go to church and then tomorrow we're going to Colorado to visit some other family friends. Friday we don't have too much planned - we are eating dinner at Nienhueser's house but other than that, no plans. Then Saturday morning we'll head back to Albuquerque to fly back to Oklahoma. We'll give details of the second half of our trip once we get home. It's been fun so far and the time is going by fast!
